After the successful meetings NLSEV-2017 and NLSEV-2018, we are pleased to announce the third scientific meeting of the Netherlands Society for Extracellular Vesicles (NLSEV), which will take place at Friday November 8th in Utrecht.

During NLSEV-2019 the most up to date developments in Dutch research on EVs will be highlighted in selected talks based on the submitted abstracts. In addition, we will have a poster presentation session and poster awards. This year we have two internationally renowned keynote speakers:

  • Dr. Neta Regev-Rudzki, Dept. of Biomolecular Sciences, Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel. She will share her expert view on the role of EVs in parasite survival. She is renowned for her work on EVs and Malaria.
  • Dr. Samir EL Andaloussi, Laboratory Medicine, Karolinska Institute, Sweden. Samir will discuss reprogramming and engineering of exosomes for biomedical applications. He is a pioneer in exploiting exosomes as drug delivery vehicles in vivo.

This year we will actively promote collaborations in a special session named ‘EV-Delta Summit’. In this session, we provide an overview and short explanation of current EV research consortia (e.g. Marie Curie training networks, NWO-TTW, NWO-NWA, KWF) in which Dutch researchers are involved. If you are a member of an EV-consortium, please let us know by mail. In addition, our EV-Delta initiative will be presented to highlight the expertise of the large number of EV research groups at different Dutch research institutes and discuss how our EV research can be improved through collaborations. Please fill out the EV Delta questionnaire if you have not done so yet.

To attend NLSEV-2019, please register before October 25th. The registration fee is €75. Shortly after registration, you will receive an invoice by e-mail. Payment has to be received latest at the 1st of November. Please be aware that your registration is only completed after the payment has been received.

We are looking forward to seeing you all in Utrecht!

Kind regards,

The NLSEV board
